In game one, Jefferson Forest jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with a leadoff walk and then scored an unearned run on a Blacksburg infield error.  The Bruins, however, tied the game in the bottom half of the inning, 1-1. Trevor VandeVord led off by drawing a walk and then stole second base. With two outs, Spencer Campbell hit a line drive shot off the out stretched glove of the third baseman and the ball ricocheted into left field, allowing VandeVord to score.  Jordy Raboteau hit a single, but was stranded.

Blacksburg picked up two more runs in the bottom of the third when VandeVord and Dustin Chermak led off the inning by drawing back-to-back walks. Miles Ritenour was HBP, and Campbell picked up two RBIs with a single to left field. Carter Ackerman and VandeVord both drew a walk in the bottom of the 4th, but were stranded.

Blacksburg's pitching combination of Brock Vice, Dustin Chermak, and Trevor VandeVord combined to pitch a one hitter for Blacksburg and held JF scoreless after the first inning to preserve the 3-1 win. Vice pitched the first two innings, strking out four batters and walking one. Chermak pitched the next two, striking out two batters, walking one, and was the winning pitcher of record. VandeVord closed the game, pitching the fifth, retiring three of the four batters he faced. Spencer Campbell led the team offensively, going 2/2 with two singles and three RBIs.

In game two of the DH, Blacksburg started fast and led 2-0 after just ½ inning of play.  VandeVord and Chermak led off the game with consecutive singles, but a Blacksburg player was thrown out from CF.  Ritenour reached with a walk and then a balk call advanced runners to 3B and 2B.  Brock Vice hit an RBI single to RF, and Blacksburg led 2-0.  Connor Deane drew a walk, but was stranded.

In the bottom of the first, Jefferson Forest picked up three runs on two hits and several walks to take the lead 3-2 after one inning of play.  Blacksburg and JF were both held scoreless in the second inning.

In the top of the 3rd, Chermak and Ritenour both reached base on errors and each advanced a base on a passed ball.  Chermak scored on a balk while Ritenour advanced to 3B.  Campbell drew a walk and Vice reached base on an infield throwing error.  Campbell was running past 2B when the error occurred, and was able to reach home with aggressive base running on the play.  JF retired the next two Bruin batters, and Blacksburg led 5-4 after 3 ½ innings of play.

JF picked up two baserunners in the bottom of the third with a leadoff single and a walk but, Campbell struck out three of the next four batters to work himself out of the jam. Gabriel Syed reached on a walk in the top of the 4th, but was stranded.

In the bottom of the 4th, Ritenhour took over on the mound and struck out the leadoff batter.  JF hit a single and drew a walk with one out, but Ritenour was able to keep JF scoreless by forcing a ground out and then striking out the next batter for the third out.  Both teams went three up and three down in the 5th inning as the game ended 5-4.

Trevor VandeVord, Spencer Campbell, and Miles Ritenour all pitched for Blacksburg with Campbell picking up the win with 2 1/3 innings of work.  He struck out four batters, walked two, and surrendered just one hit.  Offensively, VandeVord, Chermak, Campbell, and Vice, each had a hit for Blacksburg.
