Bruins Dominate Princeton

BMS Offense unloads again, scoring 24 runs in the DH

BMS traveled to Princeton on April 26th and beat the Tigers 17-1 in game one of the DH, and 7-1 in the second game.  With the sweep, BMS  is now 14-1. 

Tyler Davis was the winning pitcher, going 3 innings while Ethan Gofoth pitched the last two in relief.   Davis scattered 6 hits while Goforth only surrendered three.  

Offensively, the Bruins were led by Jake McCoy who had three singles.  Morgan McCoy added a triple and a single,  Thomas Hughes, a double and a single.   Adam Linkous and Ethan Goforth each had two singles.  Jake Schirmer, Tyler Davis, and Jacob Nottingham each added a hit.

In the second game, the Bruins beat the Tigers 7-1.  Jack Madigan was the winning pitcher, pitching two innings, giving up just one hit and striking out six.  Morgan Mccoy pitched the 3rd and 4th innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out one batter.  Grayson Shelton closed the game, pitching the 5th inning, striking out 2 and not surrendering a hit.

Offensively, Blacksburg was led by Jake Verniel and Jack Madigan, who both had a double and a single.  Morgan McCoy, Jake Schirmer, Adam Linkous, Jake McCoy, and Jacob Sparrow each added a hit.
