Playing their second game in two days, the Bruins faced off vs. the undefeated and #1 ranked AA team in the state in Northside.  BHS battled them for most of the game, but the Vikings pulled away late.

A double and two singles by the Vikings broke open a scoreless game in the 4th to give them a 2-0 lead.  They added two more runs in the 4th to go up 4-0.

BHS rallied in the 5th to close the gap to 4-2.  With one out in the 5th, John Hamborsky and John Hinson singled to load the bases.  Tyler Barry's sac fly scored Hamborsky.  Hinson and Fraley pulled a double steal and when the catcher's throw went high at third Hinson scored to close the gap to 4-2.

That was as close as the Bruins got as Northside added runs in both the 6th and 7th.

Northside ace Adam Hardister was the standout of the game.  On the mound he scattered 6 hits, struck out 6, and got the complete game win.  At the plate he was 4 for 5 with 3 rbi's.

Head Coach Jim Shockley said, "We played much better today and gave ourselves an opportunity to win.  Northside is an outstanding team and will have an excellent shot at making another title run this year."
