Spring 2009 Middle School Baseball Program Info

The BBA offers a baseball program for Blacksburg Middle School students. The purpose of the program is to ease the transition into Blacksburg High School JV Baseball. The players play on a full sized field, and at the same time of the year as the JV and Varsity players (Late Feb-May).

Jim Shockley, the Blacksburg High School Varsity Baseball Coach, has donated used school uniforms to the program, and provides administrative support. Home games will be played on the Blacksburg High School Baseball Field. The BBA covers the entire cost of operating the teams, through a fee charged to the players. Announcements for the program are handled through the school and Coach Shockley.
