Blacksburg swept the District 3 Minor and Major Tournaments for the
First time in history. The Blacksburg Minor All-Star Team battled back
from trailing 7-0 to beat Patrick County 11-7 and complete the sweep. The Major Ozone team also won the
District 3 Tournament last week. Both teams advance to their respective
Virginia Dixie Youth State Tournaments to represent Blacksburg and
District Three. The Major OZone 11-12 team begins play Friday, July 13,
at 2pm at the University of Radford Dedmon Fields. They will play
Botetourt American in their first game. The Minor 9-10 team will begin
play Saturday, July 21, at 6pm at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, VA.
The Minors will play Charlotte County in their first game.
